Overheard
Check out this guy’s project Overheard In New York. Its a weblog project of various conversations that are observed by the publisher S. Morgan Friedman, who calls himself a “easily amused compulsive people watcher.” After sifting through his weblog, it appears he has many similar projects in the works simultaneously. Overheard in New York offer excerpts of the strange kinds of conversations you would expect to hear in a big city:
Customer: Excuse me, can I ask you a question?
Wine guy: Sure.
Customer: Do you eat this cheese, or do you put it on food?
Wine guy: What?
Customer: Do you eat this cheese, or do you put it on food?
Wine guy: Like…are you asking if it can be eaten by itself?
Customer: Yeah.
