Been Traveling

I am coming off of a blog hiatus of sorts…. its been a while. I just returned from a trip out to Minneapolis, MN. We had a great time visiting my wife’s family and had a chance to enjoy some good times with the crew. One particular activity that I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area is boating on Lake Minnetonka. Saturday, we all met up in Excelsior, MN at the Excel Boat Club, and rented a 25 ft pontoon for half a day. What a beautiful lake, incredible scenery, and so many different bays and coves to check out. Definitely a necessary Minnesota experience. Lake Minnetonka is huge, we were out from 11 -5pm and just about covered 3/4 of it.

Keeping in tradition with my travels, here are also some really good places to eat if you are ever in the Mini Apple:

Stella’s Fish Cafe - brand new establishment with excellent sea food and Oyster bar, hit the 3rd floor roof deck and get a great view of downtown Minneapolis.

Campiello’s - I couldn’t find a website for them. AWESOME italian cuisine. Highly recommend this for a laid back meal in a nice urban setting.

The Capital Grille - Its not like me to ever recommend a steak house since I am mostly vegetarian with the exception of some fish, but the Captial Grille, which is a chain, does everything up right. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. I had the swordfish :-)

Now, back to work.
