At the D: All Things Digital Conference, an annual technology conference sponsored by the Wall Street Journal, Jobs discussed the popularity of podcasting, and said that the next version of iTunes would support them directly.

“Already millions of people are subscribing to these podcasts,’” noted Jobs. “This is going to send it into orbit.”

and my favorite comment:

“And Jobs noted that several traditional media companies such as Walt Disney Co., NPR, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The San Francisco Chronicle have started podcasting.”
