Domain Pimping

Just had to post about this, imagine just 8 months ago what someone would pay for it. The big question, how much WILL he get for it?

Podcaster Allan Hunkin is seeking $250,000 USD for the domain name podcasts.com. Hunkin is selling the domain to concentrate on his core business, SuccessTALK Channels.

He also hopes to sell another domain, MyPodcasts.com, for $75,000.

    Ligonier, IN — August 22, 2005 — MyPodcasts.net domain Offered For Sale for $25,000

It might not be MyPodcasts.COM (currently selling for $75,000) but it is the next best thing. MyPodcasts.net is being offered for sale by it’s owner Jeff Dyson for $25,000 USD.

Dyson is selling MyPodcasts.net to help raise capital for another business venture.

“I am selling this domain because I simply don’t have the time or resources to develop this website to it’s full potential. Like many entrepreneurs I want to see the idea or product I’ve developed turn into something great, even if it’s by someone else” Dyson said.

“I’m not just selling a domain but a fully functional business. The web site offers automated setup for new customers and is podcast and video podcast ready. It also supports flash video streaming in every new customer account” Dyson said.

“According to a previous press release on July 20, 2005 a Google search for podcast resulted in 11,400,000 responses. Today, a month later that same search resulted in 19,100,000 responses. Further proof that podcasting is a growing industry. There are a number of customers already using MyPodcasts.net and the statistics for the site are growing each day” Dyson said.
