Check out eJamming, a collaborative and distributed music site. The system allows musicians from all over the world the opportunity to jam together via the web. Sounds wild, apparently they have patented algorithms that handle any latency issues. Mike over at Techcrunch puts a review together. Check it out.
I haven’t played any guitar in a while, but I am overdue for a jam session with some of my buddies. I would love to give something like this a whirl and get a international crew together for jam. A DJ from the Netherlands, bass in London, guitars in Baltimore and NYC. That would be a cool jam. As this technology and concept evolves imagine the music that can be recorded live and distributed, could there be bands that become popular but have never met each other before?
